The Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) announces the 2025 EDIE Award recipients

PUEBLO, COLORADO (October 28, 2025) — The Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) announced the 2025 EDIE Award recipients, celebrating economic development excellence during the annual Drive|Lead|Succeed Conference held in Pueblo, Colorado.

Since 1989, the EDCC has recognized individuals, companies, and communities that exemplify leadership, innovation, and collaboration in economic development, honoring the achievements that strengthen Colorado’s economy and enhance the quality of life for all. The EDIE Awards highlight the partnerships among economic and workforce development organizations, educational institutions, and the business community, showcasing the impactful efforts driving growth statewide.

This year, 11 recipients were recognized:

  • Small Community of the Year: Town of Rico
  • Medium Community of the Year: City of Littleton
  • Large Community of the Year: City of Thornton
  • Company of the Year: Forge Campus
  • Company of the Year: Broadcom
  • Legislator Lifetime Achievement: Senator Mark Baisley
  • Partnership of the Year: Stephan Weiler, Professor of Economics at Colorado State University, and Founding Director of the university’s Regional Economic Development Institute (REDI@CSU)
  • Volunteer of the Year: Christina Kraft, Market President, Bank of Colorado, Estes Park
  • Rookie of the Year: Sierra Fedder, Redevelopment Administrator, Town of Frederick
  • Chairman’s Choice Award: John Bristol, CEcD, Executive Director, Routt County Economic Development Partnership
  • Economic Development Achievement Award: Candace Payne, Executive Director, East Central Council of Governments & Prairie Economic Development Corp.
