As an employee of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, I work on a small team tasked with developing a work program on the impacts of climate change to the economy and the financial system. I am interested in understanding how natural hazard events may impact household financial wellbeing and the determinants of community and economic resiliency to climate change. My entrepreneurial mindset has equipped me to work on the cutting edge of this work and I am constantly managing several simultaneously occurring projects on a range of topics. This past year, I also completed various projects examining disruptions in the homeowners insurance market and implications for household financial wellbeing, housing affordability, real estate valuations, and credit risk facing financial institutions. As part of this work, I have often conducted outreach with financial institutions, subject matter experts, and community leaders on topics of interest. I would love to work on these topics within REDI channels and to conduct outreach to Colorado communities. I think smart policy design and rigorous research will be critical to ensuring the resiliency of Colorado communities to the impacts of climate change.
